  • qbw32.exe and qbupdate.exe processes

Solution 2: Install Digital Signature Certificate Again

  • End all QuickBooks windows that are running on your desktop
  • Search for qbw32.exe in your desktop’s local storage
  • Locate qbw32.exe in program files
  • Right-click on the file (i.e. qbw32.exe) and choose properties
  • Open the digital signature tab and ensure that Intuit, Inc is selected in the signature list
  • Choose view certificate in the digital signature window
  • Click on Install Certificate
  • Complete the installation and then restart the computer
  • Open QuickBooks and download the QuickBooks desktop update
