Open QuickBooks Desktop.

Select Company > Export Company File from QuickBooks Online

Select help and click on Update QuickBooks

Check all updates in the Update Now option

Start QuickBooks again and finish installing the updates

Enter your QuickBooks Online login info

Pick the online company you want to import your data into or select to create a new company
