1099/1096 forms – How to set and print them

1099 is an IRS document that is required when filing year-end taxes. Remember if you have paid more than $600 to a non-employee you have to fill 1099 and 1096 forms for them, there are certain dates as deadlines for these forms:- 28 or 29 February for 1099’s and 1096 to IRS  | 30 March 1099’s to the non- employees.

When you print them 1099’s are generally the size of an 8×11 inch sheet and the envelopes for them should be 5.8 ” X 8.4″ and if you are using QuickBooks Online you have to order them from Intuit, Click here to order. Copy A  is for the IRS

  • Copy B  is for the vendors
  • Copy C comes attached with Copy B for the Payers
